We'd rather explain this clearly now than argue about it later.
Here is exactly how refunds work.
The short version
Your $2,000 initial payment is credited toward the $3,000 setup fee. It is fully refundable until Growth Point Studio confirms in writing that installation work has begun. Once work begins, completed milestones become non-refundable, while any unearned portion remains eligible for a refund according to the service agreement. The remaining $1,000 setup balance is due before launch. Your selected monthly plan is separate.
When does "work begin"?
One definition, used everywhere: installation work begins only when all four of these have happened —
- your $2,000 payment succeeded,
- you accepted the service agreement,
- we received your required onboarding information, and
- we sent you a written confirmation that installation work has started.
That written confirmation email is the line. Before it, your $2,000 is fully refundable — no questions about how far along the forms were. Filling in the eligibility form doesn't start work. Reaching checkout doesn't start work. Even paying doesn't start work. Only our written confirmation does, and you'll have it in your inbox, so there's never any doubt about which side of the line you're on.
How milestones affect your refund
Your setup is built in six milestones. Each has a fixed dollar amount, and together they add up to exactly your $2,000 initial payment:
| Milestone | What you get | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Onboarding & brand analysis | A written brand and content brief | $200 |
| 2. System architecture & plan | Your implementation plan with a dated timeline | $300 |
| 3. Account & workflow configuration | Your accounts connected and verified (no passwords, ever) | $400 |
| 4. Content workflow installation | Your automated content workflows, installed and tested | $500 |
| 5. Initial content & approval system | Your first content batch and an approval system you control | $400 |
| 6. Testing, documentation & delivery | A test report and your operations guide | $200 |
A milestone only counts as completed when three things are true: the deliverable actually exists, we've recorded evidence of it, and we've notified you in writing. We never count a milestone because work "started" or a status changed somewhere.
If you cancel after work begins:
- What you keep paying for: milestones already completed and delivered to you.
- What you get back: everything else. Refund = $2,000 minus the completed milestone amounts. Example: if only milestone 1 ($200) is done when you cancel, you get $1,800 back.
- If we can't finish your installation, we refund the uncompleted portion — and if you ended up with nothing you can actually use, we'll evaluate refunding the full $2,000. We keep nothing for work we didn't complete.
- If all six milestones are delivered, the $2,000 has been earned in full and is non-refundable. If you paid the $1,000 balance but launch hasn't happened, the balance is refunded.
The $1,000 balance and the monthly plan
The remaining $1,000 setup balance is due after milestone 6 and before launch. The monthly plan is a separate subscription with its own price, first billing date, and cancellation terms — all shown to you before checkout, and summarized in our monthly plan terms. We never bill the monthly plan before its disclosed start date.
How to request a refund or cancel
Use the online cancellation form — no call, no meeting, no retention pitch. We confirm receipt, check for any open card disputes (we can't process a refund while your bank has a dispute open on the same payment), calculate the milestone math, and send you the full calculation in writing within two business days.
How refunds are paid
- Always to your original payment method. No fees deducted — if your refund is $1,800, you receive $1,800.
- Posting times: we initiate promptly once approved, but banks and card issuers post refunds at their own speed — typically 5–10 business days after we initiate. If it's been longer, contact us and we'll send you the refund transaction reference to take to your bank.
